Why One Earth Would Anyone Want To Clone A WordPress Blog?

Why on earth would anyone want to clone a WordPress blog? I know that a lot of people see it come up in Google, and a lot of people wonder why anyone would even bother, however, the fact remains that this is a productive task that will help you get better time value out of yourself, and your outsourced workers. As a side bonus, I also happen to be an affiliate marketer, and this is really where I get to shine.
Most affiliate marketers would agree that time value is a very important part of what we do on a day to day basis, and in a nutshell, making sure that new projects can be up and running in as little time as possible. One of the big tasks that we do is setting up a new blog to market affiliate products and add value to the internet. This is not the best option for most of us, as we like to really keep our fingers on the pulse and make sure that we can get the task at hand done, rather than undertake tasks such as instaling a WordPress blog from scratch each time a new idea comes to mind.
So, lets think about this for a moment. How much time is lost when we create a new WordPress installation? To upload the WordPress software to your host can take anywhere up to 30 minutes if you have a bad FTP client, or slow connection, and lets not forget the hour or so that it takes to select the right plugins and theme. As a successful internet marketer who works on tasks that maximise my time value, this is all literally money down the drain, however, I have managed to boil this all down to a simple ten minute task, that can be just as easily out tasked or sourced.
Some time ago, I installed WordPress for another site that I run, and a handful of plugins. Now, to get to the gist of this all, and give you a better understanding, I will give you the nuts and bolts of a WordPress installation, and what it consists of. It consists of two things. A set of files installed in the domain directory, and a mySQL database. Both of these can be backed up and exported within a matter of minutes. So, at this point, I had the perfect WordPress installation, and I simply uploaded all of the themes that I own to that installation, and backed up two things. The domain directory, and the SQL database.
Why Did I Do This, And How Did It Help Me?
Well, first of all, as an affiliate marketer, I live day to day on an “as it happens” basis. If I come up with a good idea, I want it to be live by the end of the day, with as little pondering around as possible. By using the above method to clone a WordPress blog, I have managed to reduce the time it takes to get a blog up and running by anywhere up to an hour or more. It is as simple as that.
Before I finish, I will summarise by saying this much. Time Value is the most important thing to an affiliate marketer, or anyone who works on the internet. Tis is the value of what we earn through the work that we do. Internet marketers aren’t on a set salary or wage, they just earn what they earn, it is as simple as that. Through minimising the time spent on the non money making tasks, we can in effect, quite easily, boost our time value very easily by simply working on those tasks that allow us to keep our finger on the pulse. This is efficiency for the webmaster, and this is why you should look at doing the same.
